The "Joey" Scholarship

The “Joey” Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually by Solid Rock Photos, in the amount of $1,000, to one of our Rockstar Seniors who plans to further his or her education in the Arts.

It is given in memory of our son Joey, who died unexpectedly in 2007. He was a talented painter and loved to sketch. He was so proud of the direction Solid Rock was heading, and we choose to keep his memory alive by awarding this scholarship in his name.

2009 senior Carly Poorman of New Philadelphia High School is the first recipient of this memorial scholarship. Information about the scholarship program for the Class of 2010 will soon be available on our exclusive senior website (www.srprockstarseniors.com) and in your high school guidance office.

2009 Bridal Expo

We had a BLAST at the Tuscarawas County Bridal Expo this past weekend! Needless to say, our table was non-stop action...and lots of laughs too!

The show caused quite a buzz and the Solid Rock phones have been ringing off the hook with couples trying to get on our schedule. We are only taking 2 more weddings for this year, and spots are starting to fill on the 2010 calendar.

Busy, Busy, January!

Hopefully today you saw the nice write-up and photo in The Times Reporter business preview! Big thanks to our old friend, Lee Morrison, the TR's business editor for seeing fit to include us in the tab.
Suzanne ends her "world tour" and couldn't be happier to be home (less all of the snow and frigid temps of course). She and Denny began the month at the gorgeous Red Rock Resort just outside of Las Vegas for the annual SPA (Senior Portrait Artists) event. Great venue, incredible speakers, and Denny even got to meet a favorite author of his, Joseph Michelli, who was the keynote speaker. The month nears its end with Suz, Rochelle, and Dennielle (pictured above) returning from SYNC (Senior and Youth National Conference) in Tampa.

Needless to say, all of this new knowledge will be put to good use and new products, programs, and all sorts of other little goodies that will make your experience at Solid Rock even more incredible! Stay tuned for details.
